Short journeys keep a slot alive

Home Care Service Areas Around Sunrise

A weekly booking survives twelve months only when the drive to it is short. Every town below has an aide living in it, which rules out a good many places this office would otherwise agree to reach.

The towns worked from this office

Each is here because somebody is working there this week, not to make a map look fuller.

Sunrise

The bulk of it — Sunrise Lakes, Welleby, Sawgrass and the roads off Oakland Park Boulevard. Shortest journeys, so the earliest slots usually land here first.

Plantation

Older streets to the east with stairs and narrow bathrooms, where help with moving about is commonly the first thing a household buys.

Lauderhill

Near enough that a short visit still pays for itself. A good deal of our companionship work sits here.

Tamarac

Low-rise condominium communities for the most part. Lifts, shared corridors and small kitchens shape what an hour has to deal with.

Weston

Regular weekday bookings, largely washing and meals. Ask early if a particular time matters, because slots are taken up outwards from Sunrise.

Davie

Bigger plots and longer drives, so bookings here are planned longer to be worth the journey.

Fort Lauderdale (west)

The neighbourhoods on either side of the turnpike. Go much further east and the journey begins consuming the booking, so it is worth asking first.

If your street is not named

Ring and ask. Coverage follows wherever an aide is already booked a short drive away, and that moves month by month instead of sitting on a fixed boundary.

How an aide is matched

Which street it is counts for more than which town

It decides who can realistically hold the booking, and therefore how early in the morning you can have it.

Borderline is rarely a no

Households on the edge of the map are told yes far more often than they anticipate, and one telephone call decides the matter.
